Our Vision

We desire to see the churches in the Graves County Baptist Association encouraged and strengthened in order that they may engage our community and beyond with the Gospel.
If you’re a business, talk about how you started and share your professional journey. Explain your core values, your commitment to customers, and how you stand out from the crowd. Add a photo, gallery, or video for even more engagement.

Our Mission Statement

Graves County Baptist Association exists to encourage cooperation, fellowship and missions for Kingdom growth among the churches in the Association in order to reach our community and the world for Jesus Christ.

Mike Jones Graves County Baptist Association

    Dr. Mike Jones

I was born and raised in Paducah, Ky and was saved and baptized at the age of seven years old. Even as a teenager, I could see that God was working in my life. After graduating from Paducah Tilghman High School, I went to Paducah Community College and received an Associate of Arts in Business.  I transferred to Murray State University where I received a Bachelor's degree in Business. While attending both Paducah Community College and Murray State University, I became actively involved in the Baptist Student Union (now Baptist Campus Ministries). It was at Murray State where I met my wife Annette who is from Trigg County. After graduation Annette and I were married and I began a career with Genesco.

At the age of twenty-eight, I surrendered to the ministry. Upon doing so, I began to work on a Masters of Arts degree in Biblical Studies from Louisiana Baptist University and finished that degree in 1996. I have served as an Associate Pastor at Decatur Baptist Church, Decatur AL and pastored three churches in KY (Oak Grove Baptist, Marion Baptist & Macedonia Baptist). I completed my Ph.D. in Bible & Theology from Louisiana Baptist University in 2001.  I received Certificates in Church Consulting and Church Revitalization in 2020.  Annette and I are blessed to have two children Caitlin and Brennan.  Caitlin and her husband Jason reside in Bowling Green with their four children Charleston, Lucy, Bennett, and Eliza. Brennan also resides in Bowling Green.
